The West Bengal Government today lunched Citizen Employment programme for urban poor in the State. Lunching the programme in Kolkata this morning the State Finance Minister Dr. Asim Dasgupta said that, the Government has allocated 250crore rupees in the current fiscal for this purpose.Dr. Dasgupta said under the scheme unemployed persons aged between 18 to 40 years will be engaged in different activities being managed by the various Municipalities.Our Kolkata correspondent reports that, the Municipal department will oversee the implementation of the programme for which the State Finance department has already released 125 crore rupees.
