The West Bengal Government has identified nine lakh acres for a land bank which will be created for setting up industries. The State Industry Minister, Mr. Partho Chatterjee told an inter active session organised by the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata today that the Government has identified the land for the industrial development of the State. Assuring that the land is not an issue for the setting up of industries in the State, Mr. Chatterjee said that entrepreneurs holding excess land above the ceiling limit should disclose the information to the Government. In the last nine months, the Minister said that 84 proposals valued at 65 thousand crore rupees have been received by the Government.
