The West Bengal Government has decided to give an ex-gratia payment of 2100 rupees to its employees for Durga Pooja festival. Announcing this in the State assembly on Wednesday, the Finance Minister, Dr. Amit Mitra said that employees who are getting salary upto 20,000 rupees per month will be entitled for this. Besides, the pensioners will also get the exgratia payment of 800 rupees. Mr Mitra informed that 350 crore rupees will be spent from the State exchequer for this purpose.
