Bengal fumes after 7 die in political clashes

In West Bengal, tension prevails at Netai village in Lalgarh of West Midnapore district after Friday's clash between ruling CPI(M) and Trinamool Congress supporters. Seven people have been killed in the clash. The police arrested two persons in connection with the incident. AIR Kolkata correspondent reports the joint security force are patrolling in the area. Security force recovered one landmine and some other fire-arms from the spot of the incident. Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee who rushed to Midnapore town late on Friday visited the injured at the hospital and scheduled to go to Lalgarh this afternoon. Condemning the incident, State Governor M K Narayanan said that no democracy could allow such violence and the government should take proper steps to act.
