In West Bengal Notification for second phase Assembly Elections in the state will be issued on Wednesday. The second phase Elections will take place in 50 seats in Murshidabad, Nadia and Birbhum districts on 23rd of next month. The last day of filling nominations is 6th of April. The Nomination papers will be scrutinized on the next day while last day of withdrawal of candidature is 9th of next month. Meanwhile, the West Bengal Government has announced that it will give 10 lakh rupees compensations in case of any unnatural death of poll personnel during duties in Maoists hit Jungle Mahal area. Giving this information in Kolkata today the State Additional Chief Electoral Officer Mr. N.K Shahana said that the state Government will give one lakh rupees to the poll workers in case of major injuries. Mr. Sahana informed that adequate security arrangements are being made to ensure peaceful voting in Maoist hit areas. Besides central force three helicopters and anti-land mine vehicles will be kept as stand by to meet any eventualities. The voting in Maoists hit areas in Purulia, Bankura and West Midnapur districts will take place in last phase on 10th of May. Meanwhile, filling of nominations are on for first phase Assembly Elections in the state. 79 nominations have been filled today. With these numbers of nomination submission have gone up to 177.
