In West Bengal, all arrangements are in place for Friday’s counting of votes for the State Assembly Elections. Altogether, 87 centers have been set up for counting of votes for 294 Assembly seats. The Election Commission has appointed 312 observers to oversee the counting process. Unprecedented security arrangements have been made in and around all counting centers. Besides State police 75 company of central Para-military force have been deployed. Meetings, processions and use of loudspeakers have been banned with in 100 meters periphery of counting centers. Meanwhile, the State Chief Electoral Officer Mr. Sunil Gupta appealed to all political parties to maintain peace after announcement of poll results. Mr. Gupta had an all party meeting in Kolkata on Thursday in this regard.
