The West Bengal state Government on Thursday handed over land to 13 business establishments who are eager to invest in the state. The state minister for industries and commerce Mr. Nirupam Sen today handed over the certificate of possession to the representatives of industries today. Talking to newspersons, Mr. Nirupam Sen said that these business houses have been allotted 1206 acres of land in Purulia Kharagpore and Naihati. In reply to a question, the industries minister said that that even after Singur and Nandigram incidents, the sate Government had acquired and allotted such land to industry. He said that while acquiring the land, dialogues were held with the land owner and the local politicians besides taking the current land value in account.
