Drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh converted a penalty corner into a goal in the 38th minute. However, the Indian team could not maintain their lead. Belgium, who beat Germany 5-2 in their first match, made a great comeback. Cedric Charlier made the field goal in the 52nd minute, and just three minutes later, Tom Boon converted the penalty corner into a goal in the 55th minute to beat India.
