Behavioral Change Communication Conference in Allahabad

To strengthen the National Rural Health Mission programme in Uttar Pradesh, a two-day workshop for health communicators began at Allahabad today. About seventy participants from 33 districts are taking part in a Behavioral Change Communication Conference in Allahabad. Under the aegis of Ministry of Heath and Family Welfare, the state health department and other agencies are part of this conference. The conference was jointly inaugurated by the District Magistrate of Allahabad and Media Chief of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare R N Mishra today. In UP, rate of immunisation is just 23 per cent and institutional delivery is also 20 per cent which is less than national average. <br/>
