Bed capacity of COVID 19 care centre increases to 253 in Manipur

In Manipur, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh led government has been putting tireless effort to contain the spreading of COVID-19 in the State and development of healthcare infrastructures to combat the pandemic. In such an effort, the bed capacity of COVID Care Centre in Manipur has increased to 253 from 100 beds and ambulances were distributed to district hospital levels today.<br />'' <br />''The State first ever UNACCO COVID Care Centre at Imphal West district started functioning from June 13 with initially 100 beds. However, the State government has increased the bed capacity to 253 now and plans to add 43 more beds in the coming days. Around 75 COVID-19 patients have been admitted till this morning in the Centre. The government has also processed recruitment of healthcare workers to be assigned duty at the Centre.<br />'' <br />''State government also distributed two ambulances and five Mahindra Bolero SUV cars to the district level hospitals of Manipur. The vehicles were distributed by State Health Minister L. Jayentakumar today at the simple function held in Imphal.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Minister said that two more ambulances had been procured by the Department to meet the present requirement. Both the vehicles will be handed over to the Department very soon.</span><br />
