The stage is all set for the Supreme Court to deliver the final verdict on the appeals in the Bangabandhu assassination case. The five-member bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Justice Mohammed Tafazzal Islam, will give its verdict at 11am local time. Security has been beefed up around the court premises ahead of the verdict in the politically sensitive case. Five convicts who are now in prison filed the appeals with the Supreme Court in October, 2007 against their death sentences pronounced by the High Court along with twelve people .Addressing a reception hosted in her honour by Bangladeshi people in Italy last night, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that she wants justice in the case . She said the killers of the Father of the Bangladesh nation and most of his family members on 15th August 1975, brought a curse for the nation and the nation wants to get rid of such stigma.
