Bangladesh and Russia will sign two agreements related to trade and investment protection during the proposed upcoming visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Moscow.Briefing reporters in Dhaka today, Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Mijarul Quayes said that in addition to these two agreements Bangladesh is also considering proposals related to direct air links, direct bank to bank transactions, a long term agreement on food grains and agricultural inputs and an agreement on cultural exchanges with Russia. He also said that the date of the visit of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Moscow will be announced soon. Referring to the recent meeting between Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and her Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow last week, Mr Quayes said Russia has agreed to provide special technology to enhance the capacity of exploration from old gas wells. He said a delegation from Russian state atomic agency Rosatom will be visiting Dhaka to follow up on the Framework agreement on Co-operation in Nuclear Energy signed between the two countries in Moscow last week.
