Bangladesh defeated Team India by 6 wickets on the Duckworth-Lewis method at Mirpur, Dhaka last night to register their first ever series win against the Men in Blue. Opting to bat in the second ODI of the 3-match series, India were bundled out for 200 in 45 overs after rain interrupted play and the match was reduced to 47 overs a side. Mustafizur Rahman, playing only his second ODI, bagged a 6-wicket haul to restrict the visitors to 200. The 19-year old left-handed pacer has now bagged 11 wickets in his first 2 games, first bowler in the ODI history to do so. For India, Shikhar Dhawan top scored with 53, while Skipper MS Dhoni made 47.Chasing a revised target of 200 in 47 overs, the hosts overhauled the target in the 38th over riding on Shakib Al Hasan's unbeaten 51. Mustafizur Rahman was adjudged man of the match. The victory not only gave Bangladesh an unassailable 2-0 lead, but also ensured them a place in the 2017 Champions Trophy. This win for the Tigers follows the ones against Pakistan and Zimbabwe. They, now, have won 10 ODIs in a row and four of their last six ODI series at the home soil. The third and final ODI will be played at the same venue on Wednesday.
