The Dhaka University authorities have sent Associate professor Mohiuddin Ahmed, spokesman and chief coordinator of the banned Hizbut Tahrir, on compulsory leave from Sunday. <br/> <br/>The University Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique said the University syndicate took the decision after considering his involvement in the banned outfit and felt that he should be kept out of the campus to maintain peace. <br/> <br/>The Vice Chancellor said that the university was also investigating the possible links of other teachers to the group. The government had banned Hizbut Tahrir in Bangladesh last week, saying the Islamist outfit posed a threat to national security.<br/><br/>
