B’desh Home Minister arrives tomorrow on 5-day India tour

Bangladesh Home Minister Dr. Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir is scheduled to visit India from Tuesday on a five day tour at the invitation of Minister of Home Affairs Mr. Sushilkumar Shinde.

During their meeting the two ministers are expected to discuss the entire range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in the areas of security, border management, capacity building and infrastructure development at the international border outposts.

The Bangladesh Home minister will be accompanied by a nine-member delegation which includes Additional Home Secretaries Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Shafiqul Islam and Additional Inspector General of Police Mukhlesur Rahman during his tour to India.

The Bangladesh Home Minister is also scheduled to visit the National Police Academy, Hyderabad, where Bangladesh Police Officers are expected to be trained soon.
Earlier during the Home Secretary level talks held in Dhaka in the month of October this year, India had offered to conduct training programmes for Bangladesh police officials as part of its support to Bangladesh in its police capacity building.
