The Bangladesh government has directed its mission in Tokyo to relocate to a safer place in the wake of the threat of radiation due to the nuclear power plant crisis triggered by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.Addressing a press conference in Dhaka today, Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni said the officials of the mission were asked to shift to a safe place in either of the southern Japanese cities of Hiroshima or Nagasaki . The Foreign minister also added that the Bangladeshi’s living in Japan have been asked to move to safer places as per the instructions issued by the Japanese government. According to the foreign minister, around 12,000 Bangladeshis live in Japan of which 5,000 to 6,000 live in the capital city of Tokyo.
