At least 25 people were killed in hilly districts of south eastern Bangladesh due to landslides caused by incessant rains yesterday. While 10 people died in Rangamati, 7 were killed in Bandarban and 8 in Chittagong. Amidst heavy rains operations by fire service and police personnel are going on to rescue the missing. Meanwhile Chittagong city has been severely water-logged with its road communications to other parts completely cut off. With large parts inundated people are navigating waist-deep waters for their daily chores.
