BCCI warns Kohli to maintain dignity of Indian team <br/>

The Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI today reprimanded batsman Virat Kohli for his recent abusive behaviour towards a journalist and asked him to maintain the dignity of the team and avoid such incidents in the future. The said incident had taken place during India&apos;s practice session at Perth a couple of days ago.In a statement, the newly elected BCCI secretary, Anurag Thakur, said Kohli has been asked to maintain the dignity of the Indian team at all times, and avoid such behaviour in the future. The statement said that the Board has firmly asked the Indian team managment to ensure that such incidents are not repeated. The BCCI&apos;s stand on the controversy comes a day after the team management sought to down play the incident and even denied that Kohli hurled abuses at a journalist of a leading newspaper. Subsequently, the newspaper decided to write to the BCCI and the reporter involved lodged a complaint with the ICC. Mr Thakur urged the concerned parties to move on and focus on the team&apos;s World Cup campaign.
