BCCI top brass meets new IPL chief, franchises

The meeting of top brass of the BCCI with new Indian Premier League chief Chirayu Amin and the owners of the 10 IPL teams is in progress in Mumbai. Chirayu Amin, BCCI president Shashank Manohar and secretary N Srinivasan are expected to discuss the way to implement certain changes in the league with the team owners before a crucial IPL governing council meet on Friday. On the agenda today are a few contentious issues, including allowing franchise owners to retain certain Indian and foreign players. The issue of number of matches will also be discussed.Meanwhile, the suspended IPL chairman Lalit Modi has asked for the BCCI secretary's recusal from the proceedings against him and demanded that the issue of his suspension be placed before the general body of the Cricket Board.
