The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has convened its Special General Meeting in Mumbai today to discuss the implementation of Justice Lodha Committee report. Presently, the meeting is underway. <br/><br/>Some of the far reaching reforms recommended by the Lodha panel include limitation of tenure for the Board's office-bearers, prescription to limit their age to 70 years, one state-one vote and barring of ministers and government officials from becoming office-bearers, After the meeting of its Legal Committee earlier this month, BCCI had decided to convene the Special General Meeting to get the views of its various affiliates before it responds to the Supreme Court on the issue. The next hearing is scheduled for 3rd of March. <br/><br/>The Supreme Court had set 3rd of March as a deadline for the BCCI to clarify its stand on the implementation of Lodha Committee recommendations.
