BCCI says, match fixing issue must be probed thoroughly

BCCI today expressed confidence that the International Cricket Council and the Pakistani Cricket Board will take appropriate action in the wake of involvement of some Pakistani players in the alleged match fixing. Talking to reporters outside Parliament, the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI, Rajiv Shukla said that this is serious issue and must be probed thoroughly. Earlier, report said a London Bookie was arrested after a sting operation by a London Daily alleging Spot Fixing and establishing a nexus between the players and the Bookie. The London Daily alleged that a Pakistani Mazhar Majeed paid players to bowl no balls in the Lords Test. The newspaper has presented video evidence in support of its claim.
