BCCI President and Member of Parliament Anurag Thakur was today commissioned to the Territorial Army in the rank of Lieutenant. He was conferred the rank by the Army chief General Dalbir Singh in a ceremony in New Delhi. Mr Thakur cleared Services Selection Board and was found fit for joining the Territorial Army. He has been commissioned in 124 Infantry SIKH Battalion. Territorial Army is part of Indian Army and is manned by officers and men who are embodied for training for two months in a year. They play actual role during national emergencies, war and in support of Army when they relieve Regular Army for operations.
