A BCCI team visited the stadiums in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to take stock of the preparations for the opening round of IPL7 matches from April 16. The team has expressed satisfaction at the facilities at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah Cricket Stadium and Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The team led by BCCI General Manager, M V Sridhar and Curator P R Vishwanathan also inspected the facilities at the stadiums for the the players, match officials and umpires, including the dressing-rooms and medical arrangements. 20 IPL 7 matches will be played in the United Arab Emirates because of general elections in India. The opening match will be played on April 16 at Shikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Night Riders. The UAE leg of IPL7 will wind up on April 30.
