BCCI meeting adjourned due to Srinivasan's presence

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) working committee which met in Kolkata to decide the future of suspended Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, was adjourned due to presence of former president N Srinivasan in the meeting today. BCCI sources said the adjournment was called due to lack of clarity on the role of former BCCI president Srinivasan. They said the BCCI's working committee meeting was adjourned soon after it began at a city hotel after Srinivasan refused to leave the place. Srinivasan moved inside the conference room, amid protest from some working members. Sources said the ICC chairman wanted to be in the BCCI working committee meeting as a representative of Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. On this, the BCCI's working committee meeting declared adjourned due to his legal clarity. A senior BCCI official said that BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya will now seek legal advice from the Supreme Court in the matter. ''The date and venue of the next Working Committee Meeting will be decided later. Meanwhile, the Annual General Meeting will be held on September 27 in Kolkata as scheduled.
