An Emergency Working Committee Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today elected its former chief Jagmohan Dalmiya as the board's Working President after incumbent N Srinivasan stepped aside from the post.BCCI sources said this evening at Chennai that Mr Dalmiya was elected as the Working President after Mr Srinivasan resigned following allegations of spot-fixing and betting against his son-in-law and Chennai Super Kings Principal Gurunathan Meiyappan in the just-concluded IPL-6 cricket. This led to intense pressure from BCCI functionaries, cricketing fraternity and the media on Mr Srinivasan to quit. The BCCI had appointed a three-member Commission to probe the allegations.
