BCCI drops 5 big players from World Cup probable squad

As defending champions India look forward to defend their title in the World Cup 2015 to be held in Australia and New Zealand, the BCCI Selection Committee today chose 30 probables for the mega event. The list of probables was announced by BCCI Secretary, Sanjay Patel in Mumbai. With the selectors opting to ignore the out-of-favour seniors, there were no major surprises on offer in the list of probables. The BCCI has retained all the players presently playing in Australia. Also, Jammu and Kashmir all-rounder Parvez Rasool, Uttar Pradesh spinner Kuldeep Yadav, batsmen Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav and spinner Akshar Patel have benefited from the overhaul, riding on their consistent performance in the domestic circuit. The selection of final 15 players from amongst the 30 probables would be done next month.Senior cricketers and star players of 2011 World Cup team, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and paceman Zaheer Khan have been dropped from the list. Other triumphant 2011 World Cup players, pacers Ashish Nehra and Munaf Patel, spinner Piyush Chawla and all-rounder Yusuf Pathan too have been left out . The 30 World Cup 2015 probables are : Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane, Robin Uthappa, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu. Kedar Jadhav, Manoj Tiwary, Manish Pandey, Wriddhiman Saha, Sanju Samson, R Ashwin, Parvez Rasool, Karn Sharma. Amit Mishra, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohd Shami, Umesh Yadav, V Aaron. Dhawal Kulkarni, Stuart Binny, Mohit Sharma, Ashoke Dinda, Kuldeep Yadav and Murali Vijay.
