The BCCI has convened a Special General Meeting on July 3 to discuss the replies of suspended Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi to the three show-cause notices given to him by the cricket board. Modi was given a show-cause notice and suspended from all positions in the BCCI, including as Chairman and Commissioner of IPL, on April 25, soon after the conclusion of the final of the Twenty20 league. Mr Modi has been accused of financial irregularities in the conduct of the league as well as rigging the bids for franchisees.
