BCCI congratulates India women's team for 3-0 sweep

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today congratulated the members of the Indian women team for winning the three-match T20 International series against Sri Lanka.In a media release, BCCI President Shashank Manohar said that the Women's team has done consistently well in recent times, with T20I series win against Australia in Australia and now against Sri Lanka at home. He said he would like to congratulate captain Mithali Raj for the consistent show by her team and hoped that the Indian Women's team would continue to build the momentum for the ICC World T20 2016. The Indian women team had thrashed Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the third and final game to complete a 3-0 series whitewash. Board Secretary Anurag Thakur said, he wants to congratulate the team on their resounding victory in the T20 Internationals against Sri Lanka. This is a result of their dedicated effort, which has translated into a series of successful performances, he said. The Board Secretary also wish that the consistency displayed, would come in good stead ahead of their preparations for the ICC World T20 2016 in India.
