BCCI Chief N. Srinivasan refuses to resign

The BCCI Chief N. Srinivasan has refused to resign over the match fixing and spot fixing incident.

Talking to newspersons in Kolkata on Sunday, Srinivasan said there was no pressure on him from the BCCI to resign from its presidentship.

Mr. Srinivasan announced a formation of three member Commission to look into allegations of match fixing and spot fixing.

He said that he is aware of the evils of match fixing and spot fixing in Cricket and that BCCI will firmly deal with the problem. He said that BCCI will not let any guilty go scot free.

In reply to a question on the involvement of his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan in match fixing, BCCI Chief said that it has been a difficult time for him as a father and father-in-law.

He said that the law will take its own course and the BCCI will help in finding and punishing the guilty news.
