BCCI announces 15 member Test squad for upcoming home series against New Zealand

The 15-member squad of the Indian Cricket team has been announced for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand at home. 15 of the 17 players, who formed the Test squad for the tour of West Indies, have been retained, including under-performing batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. All-rounder Stuart Binny and pacer Shardul Thakur have, however, been dropped. Virat Kohli will continue to lead the team. Addressing a press conference after the Selection Committee meeting in Mumbai today, Chief Selector Sandeep Patil said, the squad is the best possible combination for New Zealand.On Rohit Sharma's inclusion, Mr Patil said, he is a fabulous player and they wanted to give him a fair chance. Team India will play a 3-match Test series against the Kiwis beginning 22nd of this month in Kanpur. The Tests will be followed by 5 One day internationals.
