BCCI adjourned Special General Meeting in New Delhi

BCCI today adjourned its Special General Meeting in New Delhi after the Committee of Administrators (COA) sought Supreme Court directives on some issues. The decision was taken after it was learnt that COA had sought apex court directions on who all are eligible to be BCCI's representatives in ICC meetings.Niranjan Shah, head of former Saurashtra Cricket Association, told reporters that the meeting was adjourned as the Supreme Court will hear the matter tomorrow.Joint Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary announced adjournment due to some legal implications.The meeting was attended by most of the veteran members rendered ineligible by the apex court order based on Lodha reforms. Former President of the body N. Srinivasan, Niranjan Shah, TC Matthew, Ranjib Biswal and G Ganga Raju – all above 70 years of age – attended the meeting in clear violation of norms.
