<span style="color: #222222;">The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has issued cheques of Rs 25,000 each&nbsp;to the&nbsp;families whose houses were flooded by rain water in Bengaluru on Thursday and Friday.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Karnataka Revenue Minister R Ashoka informed that 304 households in Dattatreya layout and 40 in Kumaraswamy layout were compensated with the amount today to tie over their losses. The city corporation distributed Rs 86 lakh compensation to 344 families.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also informed that the households with minor damages will be&nbsp;given Rs 10,000&nbsp;and officials have been asked to prepare a list of such houses. R Ashoka, has assured the families that encroachments blocking flow of water will be cleared in another eight to nine months and it will prevent water logging.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Municipal Corporation Administrator Gaurav Gupta visited Hoskerehalli and Dattatreya layout to review the situation. He also inspected the storm water drains and blockage caused by encroachments.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
