Battle for Bihar heats up as campaigning for final phase ends tomorrow

In Bihar, leaders of both NDA and grand alliance are making whirlwind tour in the state as campaigning for the fifth and final phase will conclude tomorrow evening. This phase of elections to be held in 57 constituencies spread over 9 districts on Thursday. Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to address election rallies at Araria, Amour in Purnia and Kodha in Katihar.<br/><br/>RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and Chief Minister Nitish kumar are also addressing a series of election meetings. CPI National Secretary Amarjit kaur and CPM leader Brinda Karat are also addressing election meetings. Leaders of BSP and Samajwadi Party are trying their best to woo voters. Infrastructure development, employment opportunities and problems related to farmers are key issues in fifth and final phase of polling. Talking to AIR in Darbhanga, Youth voters emphasised on employment oriented education.<br/><br/>Common Voter were of the view that Paper mill and Sugar mills in Darbhanga should be revived so that local people get employment opportunity. They also said Agro- based industries should be set up in the area.Women voters said price of essential commodities should be under control. While farmers wanted proper irrigation facility and flood safety measures should be created.
