The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC
had conducted an inquiry in the Batla House encounter on its own and had concluded that the encounter was genuine. This was informed by Minister of State for Home Affairs, Mullappally Ramachandran in the Lok Sabha today in a written reply.
The Minister was asked whether the government has conducted any inquiry by a special agency or judicial inquiry with regard to the Batla House encounter involving the Delhi police.
