Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal today said the BJP's obstructionist politics amounts to total negation of democracy. Talking to Media persons in New Delhi, he said that the government had offered them discussions on the Coal blocks allocation issue by the set rules of Parliamentary debates, but BJP preferred to obstruct the proceedings of both the Houses. The Minister said that BJP will have to answer a lot many questions. He said that Congress will not hesitate to counter them on roads and will expose their bundle of lies.

Mr Bansal said that the government expected at least 32 days sittings of both the Houses but due to the obstructions only 19 sittings could be held. He said in the beginning of the Monsoon Session, all opposition parties were agreed for smooth functioning of Parliament. Mr Bansal said it was decided to hold one debate and take atleast two Calling Attention in a week.

The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that there were at least 15 bills for consideration and passing in both the Houses. He said that as far as new bills are concerned, only 6 new bills could be introduced, 4 in the Lok Sabha and two in the Rajya Sabha. He said one important bill related to the All India Institute of Medical Science Amendment Bill 2012 has to be passed in din.
