Leading banks operating along the sensitive areas of India-Bangaldesh border will conduct awareness programmes to sensitise common people about the risks of fake currency notes. The decision was taken on Tuesday at the two-day Indo-Bangla Joint Task Force meeting on the menace of Fake Currency Notes. <br/><br/>The meeting was held between the National Investigation Agency (NIA) of India and CID of Bangladesh, designated for the purpose. An official statement said, the two sides have adopted a six-point standard operating procedure to combat the menace. Both sides agreed to share intelligence and information on a real-time basis on the activities of those involved in smuggling of fake currency notes.
