The Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee called upon the banking institutions to play a catalytic role in nurturing entrepreneurial talent in rural areas.Addressing 106th foundation day of Bank of India in New Delhi on Wednesday, he said banking is no longer a simple trade, but it is now complex and knowledge based.The minister said the process of replacing the experienced banking professionals in Nationalised banks has already begun to get right talent.Mr. Mukherjee said that government firmly believe that financial inclusion is essential for inclusive growth and banks have to play an important role in this direction.On this occasion he also released AADHAR cards issued by the bank for pensioners, star international travel card and platinum saving card.
