Bangladesh's PM Sheikh Hasina to arrive in Delhi today on 4 day visit to India

Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina will arrive in New Delhi today on a four-day visit to India. Briefing media, Joint Secretary (Bangladesh-Myanmar), in the External Affairs Ministry, Sripriya Ranganathan said over 20 pacts will be inked during Sheikh Hasina's visit. Two agreements are expected to be signed in the area of defence. <br/><br/>According to the Ministry sources, India is expected to extend Line of Credit of 500 million dollars to Bangladesh for defence purchases. <br/><br/>Replying to a query on Teesta water sharing deal, the Joint Secretary said work is in progress in this direction. Sripriya Ranganathan said, India will be entering into an inter- governmental agreement on civil nuclear energy with Bangladesh. <br/><br/>She said, New Delhi will also be launching bus service connecting two cities of India and Bangladesh and train services involving West Bengal and Bangladesh. <br/><br/>The Joint Secretary said, Prime Minister Hasina will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New tomorrow.<br/><br/>The two leaders will hold delegation level talks. During her stay in New Delhi, the visiting dignitary will call on President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Mohammed Hamid Ansari. <br/><br/>The Bangladesh Prime Minister will be staying at the President House as a special guest during her stay.
