The process of registration of online news portal in Bangladesh will start next week.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to media persons in Dhaka today, Information Minister Hasan Mahmud said that the government has received a total of 3,595 application for registration and they were forwarded to the home ministry for verification.<br />'' <br />'' The official news agency of Bangladesh BSS quoted the minister that home ministry has scrutinized the documents of several hundred online news portals.<br />'' <br />'' He said in future, online media outlets will have to go through a proper registration process before launching operations.<br />'' <br />'' Hasan Mehmud said that action will be taken against news portals which don't follow the registration process.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Responding to a query the minister said that some of the news portals are showing video content on their website which is not permissible.<br />
