Earlier, only passengers arriving from China were being screened for the Coronavirus.<br />''<br />''The IEDCR said that the all the ports in Bangladesh have also been provided with handheld scanners to monitor body temperatures of the people arriving in Bangladesh. It assured that these devices are equally effective in monitoring people who may be required to be investigated further for Coronavirus infection.<br />''<br />''Till now close to 8400 people arriving in Bangladesh have been screened for Coronavirus. 52 people were tested for suspected Coronavirus infection but none has been found positive.<br />''<br />''The measure has been taken as an extra precaution as death toll due to Coronavirus rose to 722 in China after it was first detected in Wuhan last December.
