<span style="color: #222222;">India has taken a leading role in promoting cooperative approach in combating the COVID-19 pandemic across the world. Along With the rollout of the vaccination programme within the country, India has also proactively taken up its commitment to use its vaccine production capacity to help humanity to fight COVID-19. Under the Vaccine Maitri initiative, India is giving two million doses of COVID vaccine to Bangladesh.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, 2 million doses of Corona vaccine will be arriving in Dhaka tomorrow as a gift from India. Health Minister of Bangladesh Zahid Maleque and High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami will receive the COVID-19 vaccine gift in Dhaka tomorrow.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Apart from the 2 million doses being sent by India as a gift, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited (BPL) of Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Serum Institute of India (SII) to purchase 30 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine over the next 6 months.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The vaccine gift is part of India's commitment to use its vaccine production capacity to help humanity fight COVID-19. The Ministry of External Affairs has said that keeping in view the domestic requirements, India will continue to supply the vaccine to partner countries over the coming weeks and months in a phased manner.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The supplies under grant assistance to Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Seychelles have started from today. India has also undertaken training to the neighbouring countries including Bangladesh  to enhance and strengthen their clinical capabilities with programmes being conducted for healthcare workers and administrators.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The vaccination programme in Bangladesh is scheduled to start from the first week of February. Government has made elaborate arrangements for carrying out the COVID-19 vaccination programme in the country. More than 7000 teams of health workers have been prepared to carry out the vaccination programme.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Bangladesh has announced that it will provide free COVID-19 vaccination to all its citizens above the age of 18 free of cost gradually.</span><br />''
