Bangladesh sentences 29 guards to 7 years jail over 2009 mutiny?

In Bangladesh, a special court today sentenced 13 border guards to 7 years for involvement in 2009 mutiny. <br/><br/>In the first verdict linked to the paramilitary Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) mutiny of February, 25-26, 2009, the three- member special court headed by the force's Director General Major General Mainul Islam found all 29 accused guilty of rebellion. <br/><br/>The remaining 16 mutineers were sentenced to different terms between six years and 4 months. After completion of arguments from the defendants and prosecutors, the Special BDR Court-2 delivered the judgment on Wednesday.<br/>
