Bangladesh cricket team defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the third ODI to register a 2-1 series vicotry against them and their fourth straight ODI series win at home. At Chittagong last night, batting first Proteas batsman, De Kock, Amla, Du Plessis and Rossouw were wrapped under the score of 50. Bangladeshi bowlers troubled the South African side, only JP Duminy and David Miller provided some resistance as they added 63 runs for the fifth wicket. Duminy went on to score a half-century but the hosts collectively put a disciplined performance to restrict Proteas under 200. As rain interrupted the match it was shortened to 40 overs a side and South Africa could only manage 168 for 9 in the given overs.Coming down to chase a revised target of 170, the opening pair for hosts stitched 154 runs and ensured an easy victory. Tamim Iqbal made unbeaten 61 while Soumya Sarkar made 90. With 13.5 overs to spare, Bangladesh over hauled the target with 9 wickets in hand. Sarkar was adjudged Man of the Match and also the Man of the Series for amassing 205 runs in the series. This was Bangladesh's first bilateral series win over South Africa.
