The elite law enforcement agency of Bangladesh Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) made the largest drug seizure from the Cox's Bazar area on Saturday. Briefing media on Sunday, at Cox's Bazar Director of the RAB's legal and media team Commander Khandaker Al Moin said that the recovery of 24 kilograms of crystal meth known as Ice worth Taka 120 crore was the biggest recovery of crystal meth in the country till date.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''Commander Khandaker said that based on intelligence inputs, the RAB arrested four people including the kingpin of the drug racket from an under construction house in Ukhiya's Palankhali area of Cox's Bazar. One of the arrested persons was earlier working in the police force who was sacked in 2017 for transporting drugs.<br />''<br />''Police said that a gang of 10-12 people was engaged in smuggling crystal meth from Myanmar to Cox's Bazar area which is then supplied to various parts of Bangladesh.&nbsp;<br />''The drug haul follows close on the heels of another big haul on April 26 when Border Guard Bangladesh recovered over 21 kilograms of crystal meth from the same area of Ukhiya in Cox's Bazar.<br />''<br />''Crystal meth is a strong and highly addictive drug that affects the central nervous system. It is a synthetic drug which can cause severe psychological problems.
