Bangladesh: National Film Awards announced

<span style="color: #000000;">Veteran Bangladeshi film actress Anwara Begum and renowned actor, radio artist,  film and Television personality Raisul Islam Asad have been selected for the Life Time Achievement Award by the government of Bangladesh as part of the National Film Awards 2020. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced the names for the National Film Awards 2020 in 27 categories on Tuesday.<br />''<br />''Gazi Rekayet directed film Gor (The Grave) won awards in ten categories while the Chayankika Chowdhury's Directorial debut film Bishwoshundori won awards in 8 categories. The two films were jointly selected for best film award 2020. Gor is the first English language feature film of Bangladesh. Director and lead actor of the film Rakayet also received the 'best film director' award. <br />''<br />''Gor is a poignant story of a grave digger struggling with the loss of his daughter and searching for a way to go to heaven by digging 100 graves. Bishwoshundori is a romantic film about humanity and the triumph of life.<br />''<br />''Siam Ahmed has been given the award for Best Actor in the lead role (male) for the film Bishwoshundori while Deepanwita Martin has been awarded as the Best Actor in the lead role (female) award for Gor.<br />''<br />''In the Best Documentary category, Bangabandhur Rajnoitik Jibon o Bangladesher Obbhyudoy directed by Syed Ashique Rahman was selected for the award while Aarong, directed by Jannatul Ferdaus was chosen for the Best Short Film award.<br />''<br />''The award for Best Singer (male) was given to Imran Mahmudul. Dilshad Nahar Kona received the Best Singer award in the female category. Belal Khan was adjudged the winner for the Best Music Director category award. <br />''<br />''Pankaj Palit and Mahbub Ullah Niaz have been jointly chosen for the 'Best Cinematographer' award.</span>
