Health Minister Zahid Maleque told media on Monday that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed authorities to put the border districts unders strict lockdown after a sudden spike was noticed in these parts. The death toll has gone up to 12,619 and the total number of cases is reported to be over 8 lakh.
