Director General of the Border Security Force K K Sharma has said that Bangladesh is no longer a safe heaven for insurgent outfits of the North East. Addressing media persons on the sidelines of the 8th annual medical conference in Shillong today, KK Sharma said that Bangladesh has dismantled all the training camps and hideouts of the insurgent groups which once existed there. <br/><br/>On long pending border fencing, he said that the BSF is coming up with a new technological solution of intruder's alert system which would be installed in the gaps along the Indo-Bangla border. He said BSF has contained illegal smuggling of cattle, and added that the force has seized record number of cattle which were meant to be smuggled to Bangladesh .<br/><br/>Earlier while addressing the medical conference, DG BSF said that the force would take necessary measures to address the shortage of doctors in the force besides modernizing the entire health care system in the force.
