<span style="background-color: transparent; color: #000000;">The largest organisation of the minority communities of Bangladesh Hindu Bouddha Christian Oikya Parishad organised a day long hunger strike on Saturday across the country demanding the fulfilment of its 7-point charter of demands.<br />''<br />'' In the capital city Dhaka, the Oikya Parishad sat on hunger strike at the busy Shahbag intersection demanding the implementation of the poll promise of the ruling Awami League to stop sectarian violence against the minority communities and other points of their charter of demand.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''The seven point charter of demand for which the Oikya Parishad organised the hunger strike includes the formulation of the minority protection act, elimination of discrimination act, law for the protection of property donated to Hindu places of worship, formulation of law for the Protection of Inherited Property and the formation of the National Commission for minorities. The charter of demand also includes the proper implementation of the Chittagong Hill Peace Treaty and a separate land commission for the plain tribes.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''The speakers at the hunger strike said that people from all religions and communities fought for the liberation of Bangladesh and they sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
