Bangladesh have gained the upper hand in the opening Cricket Test against Australia. On the second day of the match at Dhaka today, the hosts dismissed the visitors for 217 in their first innings after they had resumed the day at their overnight score of 18 for 3. For Bangladesh, Shakib Al Hasan claimed five wickets while off-spinner Mehedi Hasan took three wickets. After obtaining a first innings lead of 43 runs, Bangladesh increased that to an 88-run advantage by reaching 45 for one in their second innings at stumps.
