Bangladesh: Daily COVID death toll at the lowest in 7 weeks

<span style="color: black;">Bangladesh reported 117 deaths and 5717 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Monday. The death toll on Monday is the lowest since June 30 when 115 people had died due to corona. The total death toll in Bangladesh now stands at 25,399 with 69,466 active cases. The sample positivity rate on Monday stood at 15.54 percent marking a slight increase over Sunday's figure of 15.16 percent.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">The Health Minister of Bangladesh Zahid Maleque announced in Dhaka that Bangladesh will vaccinate about 80 million people if it receives the expected 160 million doses of the vaccine by December this year. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities to take up the vaccination of the industrial workers on priority. She also asked the authorities to look into the possibility of reducing the gap between two doses of the vaccine.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: black;">Bangladesh has so far provided a single dose of COVID 19 vaccination to more than 16.94 million people while 6.75 million people have received both the doses of the vaccine.</span><br />''  <br />
